About the event
This Passover Seder is a ritual space created by and for the Transgender, Non-Binary, and Genderqueer Jewish community in honor of Passover–the liberation holiday. Step into this space of imagination, where the traditional Passover vocabulary of oppression, struggle, and freedom, is used to interpret the current moment for gender variant people and explore strategies for resistance.
The vision of this Seder is an invitation into the knowing that the moment of liberation is, was, and must be now. Join us as we imagine and embody what freedom can look like for our communities. This Seder will include music, group learning, hands-on activities, and a delicious meal, in a safe and inclusive space.
This Seder is intended to be a space for those who feel aligned with the gender diverse community. Wondering if this is right for you? Reach out to info@theneighborhoodbk.org with any questions, or to request a financial accommodation.
