About the event

Join The Neighborhood and friends from across Brooklyn as we invite all families with children 2-10 years old to join us for family-friendly festivities to celebrate Purim!

On Purim we celebrate the bravery of Queen Esther, who disguised herself so that she appeared to be something that she wasn’t. This year we will celebrate Esther’s disguise (and the tradition of wearing costumes on Purim!) by making a delicious treat that appears to be one thing, but really is another: Purim Sushi! Using gummy fish, rice krispies, and fruit leather we will make candy sushi so convincing that even Mordechai himself would think it came from the sea!

Alongside, enjoy a Purim puppet show “Esther Saves the Day” from Wonderspark Puppets, story time and book nook, singalong musical performances, lots of Purim-inspired crafts and snacks, a photo booth and more!
