This Tu B’Shvat ritual serves as a portal into expanded states of consciousness rooted in traditions drawn from the Hebraic birthday of the trees led by ritual artist Abrah Dresdale. The Neighborhood, Romemu Brooklyn, and Shefa: Jewish Psychedelic Support invite you to engage your senses, and one another, through an arc of (re)connection to Jewish ancestral earth-based traditions. We will step into dedicated ritual spaces to re-member the lineages we come from and seek to learn about. Join us as we authentically honor our bodies and the earth as living temples.

In an inclusive and participatory ritual space, you will:

  • Partake in individual meditations and small group discussions

  • Taste and interact with symbolic fruits and nuts, engaging all of the senses

  • Learn about elements of Tu B’Shvat, such as sap rising, lunar holiday cycles, and ancient agricultural practices

  • Explore Kabbalistic teachings that shaped the origins of the holiday

Abrah Dresdale, MA, (she/her) is a ritual artist and Jewish earth-based educator passionate about the Hebrew calendar and Jewish agricultural traditions. As a regenerative culture designer, she teaches and consults through the organization she co-founded, Regenerate Change, and serves as faculty at University of Massachusetts-Amherst and Omega Institute for Sustainable Living. Abrah is the author of Regenerative Design for Changemakers and believes in the power of our imaginations and words to collectively call forth liberated futures for all beings.
