Join The Neighborhood and Thank You for Coming Out for Trans* Jews Draw and Schmooze, a Jewish comix workshop led by artist and zine maker Rena Yehuda Newman (they/them). In this session, we’ll be doing real-time writing and drawing activities using Jewish prompts and memories, including exercises inspired by the studio of comix artist Lynda Barry. No drawing or writing experience required for this workshop. All you need is a pen and paper (and we’ll even provide those for you!). There will be time before and after the drawing and writing activities led by Rena Yehuda for schmoozing and connecting facilitated by Dubbs Weinblatt of Thank You for Coming Out.
*trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender expansive, gender creative, agender, gender questioning, gender not listed but celebrated. You are welcome. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
