Residency Details
January 2022 - May 2022
Atalya Laufer is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work typically encompasses collaging, drawing and found objects. Interested in inter-generational discussions, her works are often based on historical material and anecdotes she takes out of their original contexts. She tends to immerse herself in the practice of other artists to produce collaborations that transcend time, space and place. Laufer’s work is neither biographical nor entirely fictitious, they act as playful space for her perusing and research.
Laufer’s work is held in the public collections of the Jewish Museum Berlin (Germany), The University of Arts (U.K), Central Saint Martins Museum & Study Collection (U.K), and the HRH Prince of Wales (UK).
