Programs for Artists

Art and artists play a crucial role in shaping our people’s imagination and society. The Neighborhood is committed to uplifting Jewish and Israeli artists through programs designed to support creation in all stages of a career and to share with others. We believe in artists’ ability to illuminate, reflect, and shape our understanding of ourselves and our world, particularly during this very challenging time for Israeli artists. See our current and past opportunities below.

Artist Working Groups

The Neighborhood’s Artist Working Groups program was established in 2022 to nurture and support an intergenerational, discipline-based, artistic community in Brooklyn by giving artists a Jewish space in which to develop their work.

Peleh Residency

Peleh Family Residency provides artists across all disciplines with the time, space, and resources to practice their craft. Designed to accommodate artists with families, the residency offers a space of retreat, reflection, and dedicated art-making.
