What services do you offer?
Jewish Service Corps: A year long program for individuals ages 21-26 to build a lifetime of leadership skills, an active Jewish community, a powerful professional network, and a more just America. Corps Members spend a service year working full-time at a leading non-profit organization while living and learning at the crossroads of activism and Jewish life.
Justice Fellowship: The Avodah Justice Fellowship provides a unique learning experience, rooted in Avodah’s 20 years of empowering change-makers with systemic analysis, leadership skills, burnout inoculation, Jewish depth and a robust communal network. Through workshops, dialogues, retreats, coaching, peer-mentoring, project-based learning, community events, and our thousand-strong alumni network, we’ll ignite your growth as a Jewish social justice leader.
What is your organization's mission?
Avodah develops lifelong social justice leaders whose work is informed by Jewish values and who inspire the Jewish community to work toward a more just and equitable world.
What activities do you offer?
Avodah opportunities include our flagship Jewish Service Corps program, our Justice Fellowship, as well as various one-off learning and community-building offerings such as workshops, meet-ups, and events.
How would you describe your community?
There are 1,300+ Avodah alumni continuing to work for justice as professionals and lay leaders, in the Jewish community and beyond. They’re leading organizations, educating Jewish communities on the issues that matter, advocating for change on a local and national level, and helping everyday Americans who are working to make ends meet. They support each other, celebrate Jewish life together, and collaborate in their work for change.
