Organization’s Description
The School for Creative Judaism exposes students to the knowledge and life experiences of what Judaism has been and can be, empowering each to develop and define a personal relationship with its history, faith and culture. Arts infuse our learning of Jewish customs and traditions, as does the centrality of social justice in action and our responsibility to participate in “Tikkun Olam” – Repairing the World.” Community events to mark holidays and other special occasions are produced in partnership with The New Shul, where Rabbi Misha Shulman, SCJ’s Founder/Director, also serves as Spiritual Leader.
