“A time for weeping and a time for laughing,
A time for wailing and a time for dancing”
Eccl. 3:4
Join us to wrap up the High Holy Days with a sacred gathering that weaves Simchat Torah and Shabbat with a ritual of healing, hope, and peace.
Together we will cast a circle of sacred storytelling and live music, marking endings and beginnings, face to face.
The festive holiday of Simchat Torah is now forever marked with the tragedy of October 7th and the unimaginable death and destruction of this past year. On this day we’ll gather to gain strength from our ancestral wisdom and from each other as we unscroll the Torah to begin our sacred story again, with new intentions, lighting candles and welcoming Shabbat, celebrating life, choosing peace for all.
We invite you to stay after the ritual for DIY Shabbat dinner/vegetarian potluck.
Ritual led by Rabbi Amichai, Naomi Less with Rabbi Annie Lewis, and Rabbi Yosef Goldman additional guest ritualists and musicians.
Special activities for Children’s Program led by educator Kohenet Stephanie Guedalia.
Open to all ages and faiths, free, and accessible to all.
