The Neighborhood presents Puppets on the Passover Table on BCM’s rooftop terrace!

The story of Passover is an old story that has been passed down for years, each generation finding new meaning in the stories and rituals. In this workshop and performance, renowned performer Ora Fruchter uses object theatre puppetry to animate the story of Passover, and to inspire families to bring a sense of play and discovery to the dinner table. Using everyday objects like sponges, soap and the lost things at the bottom of your totebag, this interactive program will encourage families to explore their own rituals and traditions.

Ora Fruchter is a theatre-maker, puppeteer, playwright, director and educator. She is the co-Artistic Director of Doppelskope, a theatre company that creates interactive shows for all ages. Doppelskope’s most recent show, The Amazing Story Machine, received a 2018 Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant and has been presented at Symphony Space, The Tank, and Puppet Showplace. Ora lives in Brooklyn and enjoys creating impromptu shadow puppet shows with her 3-year-old.
